Is this for you?
This retreat is for people who are good at managing — their career, their emotions, their life — but who sense that managing isn't the same as actually living. You're not broken. You've just been living from the neck up for a very long time.
We work at the pace your nervous system can actually integrate, not the pace Instagram says healing looks like.
The work
Every session is designed around the nervous system first. We don't push through. We move at the pace of trust — and everything we do is chosen because it works on a body level, not just a cognitive one.
Body-based awareness techniques that help you notice, track, and release what's held in the body. No prior experience needed.
Guided breathwork sessions ranging from activating to deeply restorative. Full integration and support provided.
Slow, intentional movement designed to land you in your body — not perform in it. All levels welcome.
Practical regulation techniques you can take home. The retreat is a beginning, not a destination.
Held group sharing after deeper sessions. Optional, never forced. The group becomes part of the medicine.
Sacred land. Clear water. No city noise. The environment does more than any session could.
A sense of the rhythm
This is a guide, not a timetable. We leave space for the unexpected — rest, integration, spontaneous ocean time. Some mornings are held in silence, giving you the rare gift of beginning your day without words.
Boat crossing to Nusa Penida. Welcome ceremony. Settling in. A gentle opening circle to set intentions and begin attuning to each other and the island. Early night — tomorrow begins in silence.
We begin in silence. Morning movement held wordlessly — just breath, body, and the sounds of the island. A somatic session in the late morning. Afternoon free for rest, ocean, reflection. Evening sharing circle.
An early morning excursion to swim with Nusa Penida's resident manta rays — one of the most humbling experiences the ocean offers. We return changed. Afternoon breathwork session, held in the container the mantas opened. Evening fire or ceremony to integrate.
Another silent morning. Space to notice what has moved in you without immediately narrating it. The retreat's deepest breathwork session in the afternoon. Evening sharing circle — what is ready to be spoken now.
A gentle final morning. Reflective somatic practice. Closing ceremony to seal the experience and carry it forward. Breakfast together. Boat back to Sanur, Bali mainland.
The space
Nusa Penida sits 45 minutes by fast boat from Sanur. It is quieter than Bali mainland — less traffic, less noise, more sky. Intaaya is a land-based retreat venue built with intention, holding retreats with care and full operational support.
Full board means you don't think about food. The team takes care of every logistical detail so the retreat can unfold without interruption.
Investment
This retreat is intentionally small. 15 guests maximum. When it's full, it's full — there is no waitlist once spots are confirmed.
One price. Everything included. 15 spots.
Flights to Bali · Fast boat transfer to Nusa Penida (approx. USD 25–35 each way) · Travel insurance (required) · Personal purchases, alcohol, additional massages, or activities outside the program
Your guide
I spent years living in my head — processing everything intellectually, explaining my feelings instead of feeling them. Yoga and self-development became another way to optimise rather than actually arrive.
The shift happened when I stopped trying to fix myself and started listening to my body instead.
I guide retreats, group programs, and workshops using somatic healing, breathwork, yoga, and body-based coaching. I work with people who are ready to stop thinking their way through life and start feeling it.
I'm based in Bali. I've facilitated retreats and programs across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and globally. Into the Deep was born from a belief that the right environment — the right water, the right land, the right people — can accelerate what years of practice alone couldn't.
Kind words
"Doris guided me through a deeply grounding journey that helped me release unresolved emotions, bringing so much clarity and peace. I felt my body fully let go, my mind go completely still — as if I were floating between sleep and wakefulness in total relaxation. It was an experience beyond words."
Breathwork Session
"You don't hand people the answers — you remind them the treasure was always theirs to begin with."
Dorothy · Catalyst Retreat
"The Catalyst Retreat has been truly life-changing. I've left this retreat inspired, reignited, and carrying a spark of excitement for what's next."

Common questions
Is this for men too?
Yes. This is a mixed-gender retreat. The somatic and breathwork work we do here is not gendered — it's human. Men often find this kind of space rare and transformative precisely because it doesn't ask them to perform. All that's required is willingness to show up with an open body.
Do I need prior experience with breathwork or somatics?
No. Everything is taught progressively. You are guided through each practice step by step, with full support before and after deeper sessions. Beginners often go the furthest.
Is this therapy?
No — and this distinction matters. We are working with the body, not diagnosing or treating. That said, the practices used here (somatic awareness, breathwork, nervous system regulation) are evidence-based and used in clinical settings. If you are currently working with a therapist, this retreat can complement that work beautifully.
What if I have a physical limitation or health condition?
Please disclose any relevant conditions when you register. Some breathwork protocols are contraindicated for certain conditions (cardiovascular, history of seizure, certain psychiatric diagnoses). We will work with you to ensure your participation is safe and appropriate.
How do I get to Nusa Penida?
Fly into Bali (DPS). From Sanur, take a 45-minute fast boat to Nusa Penida. We'll share detailed logistics and recommended boat operators once you've reserved your spot. Most guests fly in the day before departure and stay one night in Bali.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your deposit (30%) is non-refundable as it holds your place and covers preparation costs. The remaining balance is fully refundable up to 30 days before the retreat start date (by May 28, 2026). After that point, refunds are not available but your spot may be transferred to another guest.
Is alcohol available?
The retreat environment is intentionally low-stimulation. Alcohol is not part of the retreat program and is not provided. You are welcome to enjoy a drink on your own time during free periods — this is your retreat too.
